Musical Development qualifications

At Accessible Inclusive Music we are delighted to offer the children and young people we work with the opportunity to work towards qualifications in musical development awarded by Trinity College London in association with the Sounds of Intent framework.

Congratulations to our online inclusive choir members who received their awards, demonstrating their ability to respond to different types of music and sounds, create sounds and musical patterns using their bodies, voice and different musical instruments and using these sounds and patterns to interact musically with choir leaders and other choir members.

We love offering these qualifications as it is wonderful to celebrate the musical skills our choir members develop in rehearsals. The assessment process is also flexible, using evidence of musical development from rehearsals without anyone having to perform at a specific place on a set day. Parent and carers of the children who have received these awards have shared how amazing this opportunity has been for their children, formally recognising their musical ability, and positively supporting their confidence and self-esteem.

We can’t wait for more of our inclusive choir members to progress through the awards in the future.
